From September 16th to 17th, Rota Vicentina will be present at the World for Travel - Évora Forum, a conference about the Sustainable Tourism.

The World For Travel is an international event that proposes to think and prepare the recovery and the development of tourism in a sustainable and responsible way. With the presence of leaders of the main tourism destinations, stakeholders and business groups and innovative projects in the area of tourism, this event will take place in the inspiring Alentejo town of Évora, on 16 and 17 September.

The first face-to-face edition of the event (after the online meeting that took place in May 2021) will focus on the key components of the sector where change is essential, identifying the steps that will allow consolidating the solutions to be implemented and will address topics intrinsic to sustainability, such as variations of the economic model, climate impact, environmental impact of tourism, coastal and maritime changes, as well as agricultural and carbon neutrality policies.

Marta Cabral, CEO of Rota Vicentina Association, will participate in the panel “Millennials View of Travel”, on the 17th from 9am, in order to debate and co-create new ways of acting and establishing commitments for Tourism, from the point of view of the new generation of entrepreneurs.

More than 140 international speakers will also be present at this meeting, including Zurab Pololikashvili (Secretary General of the WTO – World Tourism Organization), Pedro Siza Vieira (President of the Economy of the Government of Portugal), Rita Marques (Secretary of State of Tourism in Portugal) and Luís Araújo (President of Turismo de Portugal) .

The “World for Travel – Évora Forum” will have a limited face-to-face attendance of 350 people, however, it will also have a live online broadcasting , allowing you to watch for free from anywhere in the world.

A significant part of the revenue of the registrations in the face-to-face model will revert to organizations in the area of sustainability, including the Association Rota Vicentina.
