David Sobral is the official caretaker of Santiago do Cacém » Vale Seco stage of the Historical Way, since 2019. We want to sincerely thank you for everything you do to help us to take care of this trail!

My name is David Sobral, I’m from Santiago do Cacém and I’m very proud of having been born and to live in this locality.
My connection to Rota Vicentina began with a group of 4 friends who decided to walk the Historical Way and also the Fishermen’s Trail. I was fascinated by all the hidden natural beauty that can only be glimpsed through this beautiful route. Later I enrolled in some volunteer programs and was proposed to be the godfather of Santiago do Cacém – Vale Seco section. I did not hesitate to accept it and, from this day, I’m proud to be part of this family.
